So my friend spotted this:
It’s a Land Rover FC 101. A lightweight transport vehicle used by the British Army. Seems odd to be in Canada advertising student housing.

You and me both! I’m constantly on the lookout for a good deal on a Unimog. Only thing that scares me is the prices of parts to fix one.

I’m more of a Pinzgauer/C303 man myself, but Unimog is a fantastic choice.

The trouble is always parts. The Pinz, C303, and ‘mog are all European. I am still not sure what the North American equivalent is. Maybe a deuce and a half?

They’re some combination of a deuce and a Humvee in functionality, probably a bit closer to the Humvee. And yeah, but I’ve seen a few of them around (mostly in the Military paddock at one of the car shows I go to) so at least SOMEONE has one.

The deuce definitely seems like a bigger vehicle and not as well sorted to be camperized. I wonder how much room would be left on a pickup truck if the box was removed. A bit like a poor man's Earthroamer.

Relevant thread. Not sure if he ever got this fully done, but it’s a really great build nonetheless.
